Amanda (33)
Children’s Clubs
I am married to Steve, and together we came to Resita in October 2006 to work with No.1 Baptist Church to help realize the vision of Casa Timotei. I am involved directly in the children’s clubs and communication with our UK supporters. However, my main role in Casa Timotei is to provide a behind the scenes support for all the projects through things like administration, praying for the Befriending Team, washing for the Clothing Bank, and of course, looking out for the director’s welfare!
Casa Timotei provides an opportunity to serve God and to show the people of Reşiţa the hope that comes from God’s love. |

Since then I have striven to be closer to God every day. My role in Casa Timotei is as part of the Befriending team, visiting church members and identifying their material, social and spiritual needs.
Casa Timotei, for me, is a team of wonderful people through whom I can become much closer to God

Environmental Protection
Greetings everyone! I am in my second year at the University of the West in Timişoara, reading Environmental Science. I come from a family of Christians, comprising eleven members (7 boys and 2 girls.) I also work with the youth groups of No.1 Baptist Church in Reşiţa and of Bethel Baptist Church in Timişoara, helping to lead the worship. I accepted the challenge of working in Casa Timotei because I am convinced that I should start to do something for God. My mission is to help people to understand how important it is to care for the natural resources God has given us.
Casa Timotei is an extraordinary vision, a perfect model for us to use to care for other people, doing these things out of our love for God, because "faith without works is dead."

I am a 23 year old student in Timişoara, and at the weekends I stay with my parents in Reşiţa, and with my cat Mişa. I don’t have a huge role in Timothy House, but I take pleasure in working with friends in order to bring a smile to the faces of the children who come to the Holiday Bible Clubs. Steve (39)
Director
I come originally from Kettering in Northamptonshire, and until being called to Romania worked for both a high street bank and one of Britain’s leading building societies. I am married to Amanda, and our home is in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. In 2006 I completed my training as an internal auditor, and I also have experience in operational risk management and customer services. My role is to identify opportunities for believers to serve God through Casa Timotei, encouraging and equipping them to meet the challenges of living out their faith in a practical, loving and Christ-like manner. This includes the efficient running of Casa Timotei, recruitment, training and mentoring of team members, establishing and monitoring effective systems of control, and providing management assurance to the Board.
For me, Casa Timotei is the challenge of turning the principles of the Christian life into the practical demonstration of Jesus’s love.
